Denmark has this awesome tradition for little kids- each town has a special tree (or trees) where kids can hang up their pacifiers when they are ready to move on. It's a rite of passage, basically, & is a pretty big deal for the kids to go through.
This lj is kind of like a little (electronic) memory tree, where I can hang my memories proudly, & try & learn to grow from them.

+ I'm sarcastic and embittered, and this is not to be confused with whiney or angsty. This is pretty much reflected in most of my posts, although sometimes I do genuinely use LJ as a window to vent stuff that's really on my mind.
+ I have a general disdain for society and people in general, but I have managed to surround myself with some of the most amazing people on the planet, and I don't take that for granted.
+ I have a twisted sense of humor, and my one of my favourite things in the world is to laugh. The kind of laugh where you are so giddy you can hardly stand. So if you appreciate sarcasm and humor, then I'll probably appreciate you.
+ I tend to babble when I'm tired, and I talk too much anyway.
+ I can be hyperactive and a load of laughs, and I can also be a total train wreck- and switch between the two quite quickly. A lot of things have happened in my life recently, and I deal with them differently on different days. I possess the ability to laugh and reflect upon myself, though, so I generally don't take life too seriously.
+ I like shiney things *gestures at info* in case you hadn't noticed...
+ I love music with a passion, and I pay particular attention to lyrics. I experience music and songs on a different level to many people, and I'm always open to learning about new bands, etc. and expanding my musical spectrum. The interests I have listed do my music taste in no way justice, and could probably use a little re-vamping but...
+ I'm quite lazy, which is not to be confused with indifferent.
+ I speak English and Danish fluently, with a working knowledge in Spanish and Portuguese (my dad is Danish, my mother is Brazilian-English), I lived in the Philippines for 15 years and have travelled a considerable amount. This makes me open to new cultures and ideas, and also resent prejudice of any form.
